Roy L. Kuykendall, 87, of Crossville, Illinois, formerly of Olney, Illinois, died Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Wabash Memorial Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. He was born July 2, 1933, in Sumner, Illinois, the son of James and Pearl (Yelk) Kuykendall.

Roy was a retired ironworker and worked out of the Iron Workers Local 103, in Evansville, Indiana. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church of Olney, and he was a Shriner and member of the Masonic Lodge #140.

Survivors include son Rick (Peggy) Kuykendall of Crossville; daughter Kathy Hart of Hillsboro, Illinois; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by both wives, Evelyn and Marilyn; and grandsons Josh, Luke and Skyler Kuykendall.

Visitation and funeral are Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Antioch Christian Church. Visitation is at 10 am and funeral is at 11 am. Burial is in Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont, Illinois.

Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville is in charge of arrangements.

  1. Have some great memories of me and Kike fishing when i used to stay with him and grandma every summer when I was kid before she died. He treated me like a grandson when I was there.
