Linda Kay Perry, 65, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by family. She was born May 19, 1957, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Lavern Wall of Friendsville Illinois, Brenda Wall of Olney, Illinois, and Joan (Lockhart) Rearden of Newburgh, Indiana.
Besides being a devoted and loving wife, mom, and grandmother, Linda participated in many community activities such as: Girl Scouts, the Grayville Jr. Women’s Club, the Grayville Days Committee, the Grayville Chamber of Commerce, the Grayville Go-Getters 4-H Club, and was an active member of the Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Grayville, Illinois. Her hobbies included photography (in which she won numerous awards), traveling, scrapbooking, fishing, eagle watching, Yahtzee, and card playing and collecting miniature clocks.
Linda is survived by parents Lavern Wall, Brenda Wall, and Joan Rearden; her husband of 46 years, Bob; one son, Arron (Rebecca) Perry; three daughters, Brandi (Todd) Farrar of Griffin, Indiana, Lindsay (Aaron Schmit) Perry of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, and Lacey (Travis) LaVarier of Cowling, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Hayley and Hannah Perry, Cade and Jarod Farrar, Austin (Hayley Buerster), Kinze and Natalie Cowling, Dayton and Daisy LaVarier, five brothers, Randy Wall of Flora, Illinois, John (Cheryl) Wall of Olney, Illinois, Graig Wall of Friendsville, Illnois, Joe (Ellen) Wall of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Jack (Jana) Hillenbrand of Newburgh, Indiana: two sisters, Kim Christie of Sumner, Illinois, and Lisa (Steve Wesner) of Evansville, Indiana; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, LD and Pat Perry of West Salem, Illinois.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Thursday, January 12th, 2023, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville, Illinois. Funeral is 10 am, Friday, January 13, 2023, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville, Illinois, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the family for medical expenses, or to Cornerstone Fellowship Church and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville, Illinois.
Linda was like a aunt to me she was kind amazing loving caring and kind rest in peace Linda until we meet again.
I will never forget Linda asking me, at a EC boys basketball game if I happened to bring my repurposed sweet pickles for snacks! 2 nights later at another EC boys game, I delivered to her a small snack bag of pickles! She was quite excited to get them! My thoughts and prayers for comfort, to Robert and all of the family! Hugs to all!

We are so very sorry for your loss. She fought a brave battle and is now with her Lord, whom she loved so dearly. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Linda. I worked with her at the bank in Carmi for several years. I enjoyed hearing her talk about her family and how she love to take pictures. She made me laugh & was a joy to be around. I’m sorry I can’t be there with you all today but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Take Care & May God help you find comfort during this time. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
