Jane and family…our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We had no idea he was so ill. I’ve had a Thinking of you card on the table for three days. I truly regret I was so tardy in mailing it because he has been in our thoughts and prayers frequently. May God Bless and keep you all safe.

  2. Dave, Jane, Kevin and Pam were the first people in Blue Cypress Golf and RV Resort to befriend my wife, Laura, and I. Dave would walk their dog past our house and always took the time to have a friendly conversation about fishing, boating, church, family and just life in general.

We will miss him so much. We have Dave and all the family in our thoughts and prayers.

  3. Jane and the Hammell family, we are sorry to hear of your great loss, we will lift you up in prayer during this difficult time. We will miss his drive by’s and stopping to chat that we enjoyed on so many occasions.

    God Bless,

Pastor Richard and Shannyn Giles and family

    Mary Jean,
I was so saddened to hear about David. I will always remember what a sweet guy he was and so much fun.
My Dad thought so much of him as a young teenager and loved talking with him about sports and farming.
It has been several years since I last saw him at a Crossville reunion. We had a great visit but only after
Being reintroduced. We both laughed at not recognizing each other. My deepest sympathy to you and his family. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this very painful time.
With great fondness and memories of both of you,
    Mary Jane Spencer

  5. Dear Hammell Family,

So sorry to hear about David’s passing. He was a good man. I grew up around the Hammell Family while attending Phillipstown and Crossville UMC. David was a distant relative through his mother Mary. David would always call me Toad Frog. I will miss seeing him.

    With Love and Prayers,

    Todd Scott

  7. It’s with sad and heavy hearts that we head out today to do a task that none of wish to do. Say goodbye to our mentor friend, leader of the farm and father .He will be greatly missed for his early morning suggestions on things that we should do today, even after retirement from the farm. As you travel today to your final resting place dad we ask that you look towards the farm one last time and see that everything is clean and ready for this years planting season. We appreciate your lead by example faith in God ,family, friends and farming. Love Kevin
